Ottawa Canada – February 6, 2015 - With the dramatic increases in laser output powers, especially in the 1040nm to 1090nm wavelength range, the need to prevent the negative effects of optical feedback into lasers has become critical. To meet this demand OZ Optics has developed a line of compact high power handling polarization independent and polarization dependent isolators, with power handling capability ranging from 5 Watts to exceeding 50 Watts.
Peak isolation levels exceeding 40dB are achievable for 1040 to 1090nm applications, and return losses are better than -50dB. The isolators are offered with fiber pigtailed collimators on the input, providing output beam diameters of 0.4 to 1.1mm. An optional beam expander can be added to produce beams up to or over 10mm in size.
Fiber-to-fiber isolators are also available. Isolators can be provided with either standard singlemode or polarization maintaining fibers, or with large mode area (LMA) fibers. OZ Optics also provides other related high power products, including LMA fiber collimators, high power handling fiber patchcords, as well as shutters, receptacles, and sleeve thru adaptors with safety interlocks.
