Join a world class team - Pelican Imaging, Optical Design Engineer

The Optical Systems Design Engineer will work on the design and development of Pelican Imaging’s next generation lens modules for our cutting edge array camera technology. You will collaborate with our team of expert imaging engineers to define and validate optics-related system and architecture aspects, translate into solid opto-mechanical specifications and/or reference designs, and ensure their manufacturability. You will be instrumental in guiding our external optics manufacturing and camera module integration partners, regarding manufacturing of Pelican Imaging Array Cameras.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Optics.

The Job Description:

Main Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for developing and updating all project scheduling activities on all company projects working closely with the project/program managers to monitor tasks and critical dates by which various tasks and or projects must be finished to ensure timely, smooth and efficient progress.

Key Areas of Responsibility:


· Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with manufacturing and project requirements.

· Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team



· Reduce uncertainty, understand objectives and improve efficiency

· Interact with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.

Key Skills:

· Must have experience in planning/scheduling.


· College Degree in engineering or technical discipline a plus.


· Must have experience managing manufacturing schedules in an industrial environment throughout a project’s typical life cycle
