Optical Gaging Products (OGP®), a world-leading manufacturer of optical and precision multisensor metrology systems for industrial quality control, announces the addition of the new FlexPoint® 12-Series to its family of large format Multisensor Coordinate Measuring Machines.
FlexPoint 12
Made for large, heavy parts with complex dimensions and tolerances, FlexPoint 12-Series measures volumes up to 1200 x 3000 x 1000 mm. The VersaFlex™ multisensor head is a patented sensor array that offers up to three simultaneously available sensors on one articulating head: OGP SmartProbe® fully telecentric optical video probe, SP25 scanning probe, and the interferometric laser TeleStar® Probe.
“CAD programmable articulation of the VersaFlex creates optimum positioning and alignment of all sensors to increase measurement efficiencies and throughput,” said Jim Stern, Director of Applications Engineering at OGP. “FlexPoint CMMs introduce real ROI opportunities by eliminating time-consuming tooling changes and constant recalibration during measurement routines, while consolidating the need for multiple metrology systems into one multisensor CMM.”
FlexPoint 12-Series systems expand the volume range of the family, offering solutions from 700 x 700 x 600 mm to 1200 x 3000 x 1000 mm. All FlexPoint systems are powered by ZONE3®, the world’s most comprehensive metrology software.
