Massachusetts, USA – May 21, 2019 –  Teledyne Acton Optics is pleased to introduce a series of new polka-dot beamsplitters capable of delivering broadband performance that is unmatched in the marketplace.

By employing a patented UV coating process, Teledyne Acton Optics can now provide broadband beamsplitter performance down to 120 nm, depending on the coating and substrate selected. Standard UV-NIR broadband polka-dot beamsplitters that offer performance from 190 nm to 2.5 µm via the Acton #1900 coating process are also available.

“Our new polka-dot beamsplitters are angularly insensitive up to 45 degrees and do not demonstrate any significant divergence or diffraction effects,” notes Jim Diamond, business unit manager at Teledyne Acton Optics. “They are ideal for use with broadband sources like xenon, deuterium, and tungsten halogen, and have been designed to help users realize the full performance potential of even the most advanced precision optical systems, spectrometers, and medical systems.”

These new polka-dot beamsplitters can be ordered with custom spectral ranges spanning 120 nm to 8 µm. In addition to standard UV fused-silica substrates, Teledyne Acton Optics offers polka-dot beamsplitters that utilize calcium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, and sapphire substrates. Custom beamsplitter ratios (stock ratio: 50/50) are also available upon request. Learn more at https://www.actonoptics.com/products/polka-dot-beamsplitters
