Optical viewports are plane parallel windows hermetically-sealed to mechanical mounts that act as a conduit into and out of a sealed system. Viewports allow monitoring inside harsh environments such as a wind tunnels, furnaces, or combustion chambers, while safely shielding the equipment from exposure.
ISP Optics designs and manufactures viewports that specifically transmit in the infrared spectrum (1-14µm) for high temperature and high pressure sealed systems, such as a vacuum chambers.
ISP Optics offers a variety of customization solutions utilizing their specially designed broadband anti-reflection (BBAR) and/or Long and Short wave pass filter (LWP, SWP) coatings for 1-14µm applications.
BBAR and filter coatings optimize the viewport’s optical performance and allow it to be perfectly tailored to meet the application specifications. Additionally, for applications requiring even more protection, ISP Optics offers Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) and High Durability (HD) coatings.
