The Exemplar® and Exemplar® LS miniature spectrometers are already used in numerous applications such as kinetic reaction monitoring and transient spectral analysis, but both spectrometers prove to be ideal for LIBS (laser induced breakdown spectroscopy) in addition to other OEM applications. Both spectrometers feature a minimum external trigger delay of 35ns (±5ns gate jitter) and minimum integration times of 1ms. The Exemplar and Exemplar LS cover the UV/Vis/NIR range with resolution as high as 50 picometers with module multiplexing capability up to 32 channels, making them the perfect choice for LIBS.

These features are enabled by both a built-in microprocessor that handles frame-buffering and USB 3.0 communication to the PC. A software development kit is available for custom applications and to those who wish to control the spectrometer from the hardware level. B&W Tek programming services are also available.

In addition to miniature spectrometers, B&W Tek also offers an advanced MicroLIBS laser tailored for LIBS applications. It’s smaller than a matchbox and provides powerful, fast multi-GW/cm2 plasma generation at an extremely high repetition rate. Custom fiber optics are also available for OEM integration.
