Theia Technologies announces additions to their IQ Lens™ System series, adding their TL410P-IQ R6 CS mount and ML410P-IQ R6 C mount lenses. The lenses will be available for purchase April 7th, 2025.

Theia’s IQ Lens™ System brings together a motorized 4K resolution, multi-spectral lens, motor control board, calibration data, and software with graphical user interface (GUI) to form an intelligent, modular, highly configurable system.

The motorized 4-10mm varifocal lenses offer 300lp/mm resolution performance in both visible and NIR light. The lenses offer motorized zoom and focus, with optional integrated NIR filters and photo-interrupter motor stops. The remote zoom and focus enable applications with variable working distances like factory automation for Pick and Place robots and in mobile applications like UGVs and AMRs, used in logistics and agricultural monitoring, or handheld cams used in law enforcement.

Theia’s IQ Lens™ System includes a python-based SDK and intuitive GUI to translate engineering units into motor steps, reducing development effort and cost, speeding time to market. The software and GUI are available when using the USB interface with the Motor Control Board.

The calibration data provides intelligence to optimize image quality and ease system setup including focus/zoom curve, geometrical distortion, relative illumination, and more. This high-performance system enhances AI applications like ANPR and OCR.

Theia’s MCR IQ™ Motor Control Board command interface can be changed from USB to UART or I2C protocols. Calibration data and software applications are available including a royalty free license with IQ Lens™ and MCR IQ™ purchase.
