SVS-Vistek is expanding its Mikrotron EoSens High-Speed camera series with a new model that can record over 200,000 images/s, depending on the resolution set. The Mikrotron EoSens9.5 offers novel opportunities for the examination of exceedingly rapid processes, including those in additive manufacturing, melt bath monitoring, grinding or milling processes, sports and entertainment applications, electronics production, and even defense tasks.

The Mikrotron EoSens9.5 is the latest addition to the high-speed camera portfolio of SVS-Vistek. The camera is equipped with an integrated LUX9506V3 sensor from Luxima, featuring 6.5 µm pixels, enabling global shutter recordings of rapid processes for subsequent analysis. The user can adjust the recording speed to suit the specific requirements of each task. Utilizing the full resolution of 9.5 megapixels in the 4096 x 2304 format, the EoSens9.5 is capable of capturing 509 images per second. In the case of a reduced area of interest (AOI) to 1280 x 864, the high-speed camera operates at a rate of 4,240 images per second in high-speed mode. In scenarios involving laser applications or Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) tasks that necessitate extremely rapid processes, the AOI can be further reduced to capture an even higher frame rate. For instance, a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels can deliver 71,581 fps, or a resolution of 128 x 24 pixels can reach a frame rate of 225,000 fps.

During high-speed imaging with the Mikrotron EoSens9.5, a substantial amount of data is generated. This data is subsequently transferred to the evaluation computer via a CXP12 interface, which possesses four channels. The latest generation of the proven Mikrotron EoSens platform is designed for the connection of flat front and M58 lenses as well as using an adapter for C-mount lenses.

Due to its advanced capabilities in image acquisition and transmission, the Mikrotron EoSens9.5 is the ideal solution for analyzing extremely fast processes such as those commonly encountered in additive manufacturing, melt pool monitoring, grinding or milling processes, sports and entertainment applications, electronics manufacturing, and even defense applications.
