July 16, 2024 Boca Raton, Florida - Imperx announces two new Cheetah cameras: the CXP-C3240 and the SFP-C3240. Both cameras feature the Sony Pregius IMX420 7MP Global Shutter CMOS image sensor with a native resolution of 3200 x 2208 in a 1.1” optical format. Combining high sensitivity, high frame rates, and low dark current, the cameras are ideal for a broad range of demanding applications including automated inspection, surveillance, traffic monitoring, medical imaging and microscopy.
The CoaXPress version of the camera, CXP-3240 delivers up to 152.3 frames per second with dual CXP-6 CoaXPress output with Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP). The GigE version of the camera, SFP-C3240, achieves 129 frames per second using a 10GigE Version 2.0 interface via SFP+ transceiver, conforms to the GigE Vision 2.0 standard, and supports IEEE1588 PTP synchronization and Scheduled Action Commands. The SFP-C3240 camera’s open SFP+ slot accepts a variety of commercially available SFP transceiver modules, including multi-mode and single mode 10GBase-R fiber and 10GBase-T copper modules. For both models, low power dissipation enables conductive cooling, making them ideal for high reliability and precision imaging applications. Both models support strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, automatic gain control with multiple LUTs, and other high-value functions and operate over an extended temperature range from -30 °C to +75 °C making them suitable for use in even the harshest of environments.
The IMPERX CXP-C3240 camera provides 7MP in a 1.1” format and over 152 fps over dual CXP-6 CoaXPress output.
“The combination of sensitivity and speed make the C3240 cameras especially flexible. Their performance can meet the challenges of high-speed outdoor cameras and low light applications like pathology,” says Petko Dinev, Founder and CEO of Imperx.
