The new high-resolution 61 MP industrial camera hr455xXGE-T in mono or color from SVS-Vistek with TEC cooling ensures stable working conditions for the sensor, even when external conditions are in flux. This, in turn, results in enhanced and reproducible image quality, which is especially crucial in display inspection, semiconductor and electronics production, and other demanding applications.

Even minor fluctuations in the temperature of a camera sensor have a detrimental effect on image quality, thereby rendering subsequent image analysis more challenging. An increase in sensor temperature, for instance, results in a decline in the signal-to-noise ratio and a change in the sensitivity of the sensor. The spectral sensitivity varies in response to temperature, exhibiting different changes for different wavelengths. Consequently, temperature-dependent calibration is essential for applications with heightened requirements, such as high-precision color measurement. The new hr455xXGE-T employs thermoelectric cooling (TEC) based on a Peltier element, which serves as an effective solution to the mentioned challenges. This maintains a constant operating temperature for the sensor, even in the presence of fluctuating external conditions. The resulting temperature stabilization ensures the reproducibility of results.

SVS-Vistek custom designed the TEC concept in the latest hr455xXGE-T model, which is specifically optimized for large-area sensors. Among other things, this involved the development of a new housing design incorporating integrated ventilation. The SVS range of temperature-stabilized cameras has been extended to include a new variant, which now also supports high-resolution sensors in the visible spectral range in addition to the SWIR cameras up to 5 MP already available on the market. The aforementioned color measurement as well as wafer inspection, testing of electronic components, printed circuit boards, and other inspections can now be performed with even higher quality and reliability by users from display inspection, semiconductor and electronics production, and other demanding application areas.

The hr455xXGE-T is equipped with a powerful 10GigE interface, that enables rapid and dependable data transmission even at elevated production speeds, due to its high bandwidth. The initial resolution of 61 megapixels ensures the detection of even the minutest errors.

Other technical highlights of the hr455xXGE-T include its exceptionally accurate image calibration, excellent homogeneity, which pays off when it comes to precise measurement of displays, its wide dynamic range, which enables the detection of subtle luminosity and color differences, a memory option of up to 32 GB, as well as its robust design and low weight. Additional features such as Defect Pixel Correction, Lens Shading Correction, ROI, LUT, Binning, the integrated 4-channel LED flash controller, and POE (Power Over Ethernet), contribute to the new hr455xXGE-T's status as an extremely powerful camera for use in high-end image processing systems.
