Ahrensburg, 13 September 2017 – After two successful years with the Basler Original lens series 1/2.5″, the family of Basler Lenses has new members: In addition to the Basler Original Equipment lenses with a resolution of 5 megapixels for sensors smaller than 1/2″, Basler now also offers lenses for sensors up to 2/3″. The Basler Lenses 2/3″ are suitable for sensors with a resolution of up to 2 megapixels and an excellent choice for applications where low resolutions are sufficient.
The new, cost-effective C-mount lenses are optimized for use with Basler ace, dart and pulse cameras with sensors between 1/2″ and 2/3″ and have an excellent price/performance ratio. With their optimized, frugal design and standard resolution of 2 megapixels, the Basler Lenses 2/3″ are an ideal choice for use in cost-efficient image processing applications. The lenses are available in six different focal lengths (8, 12, 15, 25, 35, 50 mm) and can be used in the visible wavelength range of 400 - 700 nm.
With this portfolio expansion, the 5 megapixel Basler Lenses 1/2.5″ from the Basler Original Equipment line and the 2 megapixel Basler Lenses 2/3″, Basler offers full coverage of the standard resolutions conventionally used in the machine vision market.
Basler helps users choose the appropriate lens with its sophisticated Lens Selector. This tool makes it easy to search for the right lens for Basler area scan cameras. The Lens Selector is based on professional calculations and convinces with its ease of use: Visitors to http://www.baslerweb.com/lens-selector can enter the pertinent data for their application (such as necessary angle of view, working distance, object size, etc.). The Lens Selector then calculates the necessary focal length and proposes suitable lenses for the size and resolution of the sensor.
