Raptor Photonics, a global leader in the design and manufacture of high performance digital cameras is launching the Eagle XO, a family of Open Front detectors for both direct and indirect X-Ray detection.
Following on from the huge success of the Eagle V, the most sensitive CCD in its class, Raptor will display a range of X-Ray / High Energy cameras at Photonics West, from 16-18 February 2016 in the Moscone Centre, San Francisco, Booth #515.
The Eagle XO is available in a range of resolutions using back illuminated sensors from e2v (2048 x 2048, 2048 x 512) and with a range of accessories and options to suit most application requirements. It offers good spatial resolution, single photon sensitivity, good quantum efficiency (QE), excellent linear response and high dynamic range with excellent energy resolution. Raptor can also offer vacuum levels to ~10e-7 mbar. The Eagle V runs at 16-bit digital output through a Cameralink data interface delivering low read out noises, 2.3 e- rms @ 75kHz pixel readout rate. The camera also operates @ 2MHz pixel readout rate, with 9.0 e- rms.
According to Mark Donaghy, Raptor’s VP of Sales & Marketing, “This is a natural progression for the next generation of Raptor cameras. We have had an incredible response to our Eagle V 4MP CCD. It is outperforming all others in its class. We can now offer this range to the X-Ray / High Energy market” he adds.
The Eagle XO cameras are designed to work across a range of applications including medium X-ray Diffraction, X-ray Lithography, X-Ray Diffraction, X-ray Spectroscopy, XIFS – X-ray Intensity Fluctuation Spectroscopy, Plasma Physics, X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy and electron detection.
