MONTREAL – Feb. 4, 2014 — At ATX West (Anaheim, Feb. 11-13), Matrox Imaging will demonstrate the upcoming release 4 of Matrox Design Assistant (DA) flowchart-based multi-platform machine vision softwarethat works not only with Matrox Iris GT smart cameras to run inspection projects, but also any PC with GigE Vision® or USB3 Vision™ cameras. Visitors to booth 4664 will see two live demonstrations.
The Matrox 4Sight GPm industrial imaging computerwill be used to preview DA 4. In addition, Inventek Engineering, a systems integrator for master distributor Valin Corporation, will show a Matrox Iris GT1200C color smart camera interfaced to the latest control technology from Omron.
"DA 4 is ideal for users who need scalability," said Fabio Perelli, product manager at Matrox. “They can start with a single smart camera then move to PCs with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision cameras when they need more processing power, faster frame rates or higher resolution — all with the same project and vision tools, just different deployment platforms."
