okyo, February 4, 2014 — Fujitsu today announced the release of the FUJITSU PC LIFEBOOK TH90/P, a new convertible Ultrabook™ in the FMV Series of consumer PCs. The new laptop can also be used as a tablet, with both stylus and touch input available to suit four different modes of use. Adopting Fujitsu's proprietary "Shift HingeTM" construction, the LIFEBOOK TH90/P makes operation easy by changing styles, while offering a stylish form-factor. An exceptional example of function and design in one unit, the LIFEBOOK TH90/P brings together the technologies and attention to detail that Fujitsu has accumulated over many years.
Fujitsu has also upgraded two models for improved performance, the LIFEBOOK AH42/M laptop, and the ESPRIMO FH52/M desktop computer.
In addition, the company is introducing new services, specifically for the Japanese market. The first is the "Personal Computer Norikae Cloud Service," which makes it easy to migrate one's data and settings from an old computer (even running the Windows XP operating system) to a new one via "My Cloud Library." Next, available from today, is the "PC Tsunagete Lesson Personal Computer Norikae Pack," a service that offers specialist staff support via phone and remote access operations.
The convertible construction enables the display to rotate 180° left or right and allows this laptop to instantly change form to suit four different modes of use. These are Laptop Mode for text input, Tablet Mode for pen input or Internet browsing, Presentation Mode for rotating the screen to share content with other people, and Theater Mode for watching movies. It has been designed to instantly adapt to the best mode for any use without being limited by its shape.
The new computer takes advantage of high-spec parts for ample performance in a durable chassis with an "Ultra-compressed, solid core" and machined aluminum construction. Basic features include a high-resolution IGZO display with 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, a high-strength Dragontrail® display that stands up well to bumps and scratches, the 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U Processor, and a 500-GB hybrid hard drive that combines high capacity with high speed. A long-running 12.5-hour battery means that users can take it anywhere with confidence.
