From April 19-21, 2016 Jenoptik is displaying the entry-level thermal camera for professional visualization and measurement of heat distributions for the first time to the US-market at the key exhibition for optics and photonics in Baltimore, Maryland.

Based on a state-of-the-art 640 x 480 pixel uncooled micro bolometer with 17 μm pixel pitch, the camera outputs detailed radiometric images with a thermal resolution of 40 mK NETD at a frame rate of up to 30 Hz. Every IR-TCM HD Basic is calibrated to measure over a temperature range of - 40⁰ C to 600⁰ C and can capture accurate high-quality thermograms in real-time in the following video formats: GigE Vision, DVI, and composite video.

The IR-TCM HD Basic can be configured with 3 lenses: a standard 20mm/ƒ1.0 lens which provides sharp images and precision temperature measurements; a hallmark of Jenoptik infrared products. Interchangeable 10mm/ƒ1.0 wide-angle and 40mm/ƒ1.0 telephoto lenses are also available.

The IR-TCM HD Basic is encased by the same robust industrial strength housing found on Jenoptik’s higher-end HD 640 and HD 1024 models. Every aspect of the camera body was optimized for severe environmental service, resulting in an IP67 class protection rating. No other infrared camera on the market offers this level of protection.

Camera setup, integration, and control are fast and easy thanks to versatile interfacing options, including wireless connectivity (Bluetooth and WLAN) and standard GigE-Vision. Third party control and analysis software packages along with a Jenoptik Software Development Kit (SDK) are available for customized solutions for advanced applications.

The IR-TCM Basic can be used for a broad variety of thermal imaging applications: quality control or process monitoring in electronics and automotive industry, non-destructive testing in research and development, thermal test benches, process control, monitoring and optimization or machine vision in automation or safety engineering like site surveillance or fire protection.
