Gottenheim, April 18, 2013 – Smaller, faster, more accurate: the contrast sensors FT 25-W and FT 25-RGB from SensoPart Industriesensorik with hermetically-sealed miniature housing (IP 67 and IP 69K) are up to 15 times smaller than conventional print mark sensors, and still offer better performance data. The miniature sensors are also extremely fast and precise and very easy to set up. Typical areas of application are print mark detection in the printing industry, e.g. in labelling and packaging machines, and in the food industry.

Fast and precise
The sensors achieve very high positioning accuracy and guarantee reliable detection even in very fast processes, due to a minimum jitter of 10 μs and a switching frequency of up to 25 kHz. Even very narrow print marks and vibrating or fluttering objects (such as paper webs or foils) are reliably detected by the bright light spot with a very sharp, oblong-shaped contour (1 x 4 mm²) and a high depth of field  (± 3 mm). This is of particular advantage with frequently changing contrast marks.

Automatic colour switch for optimum results
Whilst the FT 25-W operates with white light and is suited to all standard applications, the FT 25-RGB offers multi-colour analysis for particularly low or difficult contrasts. The sensor automatically selects the optimum emitter colour from red, green or blue according to the taught-in contrast, so that even the smallest differences in contrast are reliably detected, e.g. yellow print marks on a white background.

Easy change-over from large to small
The new SensoPart contrast sensors are far smaller than conventional sensors, which saves considerable space in the machine. Switching from the traditional standard size to the compact, miniature design, which is 15 times smaller, is easy and economical with the aid of an assembly adapter (MZ F 25).

User-friendly operating concept
The sensors can even be configured via teach-in or a control cable, even in running mode. After teach-in, the so-called “speaking light spot” provides information on the quality of the taught-in contrast. The user thus obtains clear feedback on the stability of the process.

About SensoPart Industriesensorik GmbH
The sensor manufacturer SensoPart, based in Wieden near Todtnau, and also in Gottenheim near Freiburg since 2001, develops, produces and sells sensors for industrial applications. The main focus is on optoelectronic sensors, particularly laser sensors, which are used in so many industrial applications, and high-performance vision sensors for the detection of objects, colours or data matrix codes.

The past years have been marked by a strong growth in turnover and the regular launch of new, innovative products. SensoPart has received several distinctions for its work, for example the Dr. Rudolf-Eberle Prize, 1st place in the Baden-Württemberg Prize for the Promotion of Young Companies, and has been awarded the German Sensor Application Prize several times.
