TOKYO, August 27, 2013—Canon Inc. and Canon Marketing Japan Inc. announced today a renewed lineup of PIXUS-series home-use all-in-one inkjet printers with the launch in Japan of four new models: the PIXUS MG7130, MG6530 and MG5530, which support New PIXUS Cloud Link for convenient printing directly from cloud services as well as Internet-enabled devices, and the PIXUS MG3530, which facilitates the printing of photos and Web pages from smartphones and tablet devices.

PIXUS MG7130 and MG6530

The new PIXUS MG7130 and MG6530 inkjet all-in-ones combine printing, copying and scanning functions and allow users to take advantage of Canon’s New PIXUS Cloud Link, enabling access to various cloud services for printing from SNS (Social Networking Service) sites and online photo-sharing and storage-service sites, as well as Canon-original print content. New PIXUS Cloud Link can be operated not only from the printer itself, but also from a smartphone or tablet device through the new PIXUS Print application, allowing users to easily print out photos and documents even when away from home via an Internet connection.

The new PIXUS Print application, available for free download,* lets users not only print and scan images from a smartphone or tablet device, but also wirelessly output documents and Web pages, as well as consult the printers’ online user manuals and confirm ink levels and other printer information.

Incorporating Canon’s proprietary FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head technology, the MG7130 and MG6530 eject ink droplets as small as one picoliter and realize a maximum print resolution of 9,600 x 2,400 dots per inch. The duo’s six-color hybrid ink system combines dye-based and pigment-based inks for exceptional image quality for both photos and text. In addition to standard ink tanks, the two all-in-ones accept Canon’s high-capacity ink tanks, which contribute to lower printing costs while also reducing the frequency of ink replacements. Both models are capable of printing an L-size (89 x 127 mm) photo in approximately 18 seconds.

Supporting Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) operation, the MG7130 and MG6530 let users send print commands from a smartphone, tablet device or PC, which includes automatically turning on the power and opening the paper output tray.

The MG7130 features a 3.5-inch touch-screen display and Canon’s intuitive Intelligent Touch System, a light-guided touch operation system that delivers improved ease of use and productivity. Designed with the living environment in mind, the MG7130 is available in four body-color variations: black, white, red and brown.

PIXUS MG5530

Canon’s new PIXUS MG5530 inkjet all-in-one combines printing, copying and scanning functions and offers convenient printing directly from cloud services through New PIXUS Cloud Link. In addition to enabling operation from the printer itself, users can also carry out printing and scanning tasks from a smartphone or tablet device through the new PIXUS Print application.

The MG5530 incorporates a five-color hybrid ink system that delivers high-image-quality output whether printing photo images or text. It also accepts high-capacity ink tanks, letting users realize lower printing costs and less-frequent ink replacements compared with standard ink tanks, and facilitates double-sided printing to make possible reduced paper consumption. Additionally, the model makes possible the replenishing of paper from the front of the machine for improved ease of use. The MG5530, designed to match a variety of living environments, is available in black and white body-color variations.
