Thermal imaging goes digital at SPIE DSS 2014

Thermoteknix and Vision4ce join forces at this year’s SPIE DSS Exhibition in Baltimore, 5-9th May 2014. Thermoteknix will be showing new GiG-E connectivity of their MicroCAM™ 2 un-cooled long wave thermal imaging cameras combined with the advanced digital processing available from the Vision4ce GRIP PCs.

The demonstration will highlight the advanced possibilities available from imaging in the digital domain. Both image stabilisation and live panorama generation will be demonstrated on Thermoteknix and Vision4ce booths.

“Using the GiG-E digital transport allows us to connect multiple cameras at up-to 100m cable lengths without any loss of fidelity sometimes associated with compressed video standards. This ensures that we deliver the best possible image data for the Vision4ce software to process.” said Dr Richard Salisbury, Managing Director of Thermoteknix.

“Thermal imaging combined with high quality and simple cabling associated with GiG-E can significantly improve all form of image processing in security and surveillance applications.
