Raydiance Chief Scientist Dr. Michael Mielke will be a featured presenter at The European Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics and the International Quantum Electronics Conference (CLEO®), part of the World of Photonics Congress, May 13-17 in Munich, Germany.

Dr. Mielke will present a paper titled “High energy, monolithic fiber femtosecond lasers,” a breakthrough technology that doubles the energy and power from industrial fiber femtosecond laser architecture to enable the next wave of faster precision micromachining solutions.

The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 15, in the postdeadline sessions, where “Only those papers judged to be truly excellent and compelling in their timeliness will be accepted for presentation in a limited number of postdeadline sessions,” according to CLEO.

“This paper will explore an ultrafast solution that wasn’t available in later 2012,” says Dr. Mielke. “CLEO recognizes that this is an important and valuable development in the field of lasers for manufacturing.”

CLEO Europe is one of five supporting conferences that make up the biannual World of Photonics Congress, one of the largest gatherings of optics and photonics experts in the world. The Laser World of Photonics exhibition is expected to draw some 30,000 attendees.

Raydiance will be exhibiting at the accompanying Laser World of Photonics Exhibition, booth C2 120.
