Diode Pumped Solid State (DPSS) lasers can now replace old Ar-Ion lasers in LDA and PDA systems based on the FiberFlow transmitter. No modifications of the transmitter and receiving optics required for 100 mW and 1 W laser systems. Other systems require a small modification of the transmitter and receiver optics.

The new features include high power, small form factor, single phase electrical supply and air cooling of all models ranging from 100 mW per color to 1 W per color. The power consumption of these lasers is much lower than that of Ar-Ion lasers, reducing the operating cost dramatically.

Dantec Dynamics introduces the DopplerLite lasers with 2 x 100 mW or 2 x 150 mW laser power, ideal replacements for air-cooled Ar-Ion lasers. They offer identical laser power in two wavelengths, whereas Ar-Ion lasers typically have a stronger green and a weaker blue wavelength. Furthermore they do not need a noisy fan for cooling.

Balanced laser power in two wavelengths
The DopplerPower laser with 2 x 1 W laser power, is intended for replacement of water-cooled Ar-Ion lasers. It is much smaller, requires only single-phase power supply and is air-cooled. 1W per color offers perfect power balance between green and blue. To get similar power with an Ar-Ion laser, a 5W all lines laser is required, but the green is stronger than the blue line.

The 2 x 100 mW DopplerLite as well as the 2 x 1 W DopplerPower lasers can directly replace Ar-Ion lasers without modification of existing transmitter unit or receiver optics. The 2 x 150 mW DopplerLite uses different wavelengths, and a modification of existing transmitter and receiver optics is included in the price.

A common problem with Ar-Ion lasers is a tendency to run in the TEM01 mode that reduces the fiber coupling efficiency. The stability of DPSS lasers makes them more efficient systems. Plug and play installation of DPSS lasers minimizes the installation time and get’s you quickly started.
