From 13 to 16 May, asphericon will be presenting itself to visitors at the Laser World of Photonics in Munich. At trade fair stand 326 in hall B2, asphericon will be presenting an absolute world first alongside aspherical optical components and the latest production technologies. Experience a completely new dimension in the field of beam shaping: the world's first monolithical beam expander.

The asphericon SPATM Monolithical Beam Expander makes it possible to create a highly compact yet also flexibly combinable system to easily enlarge/decrease a beam diameter using a single asphere. Individual elements are offered in three different magnifications (1.5, 1.75, 2.0) with a maximum incoming beam measuring an impressive 14.7mm. Combining five beam expanders enables up to 32 times expansion with over 60 intermediate stages. The new generation of beam expanders is thus ideally suited to daily use in laboratories: no time-consuming modifications, just simple, fast adjustments using standard holders/adapters.

What's more, both every individual beam expander and also the entire system comprising up to five expanders is individually measured and certified at the diffraction limit - an absolute first in the market for beam expanders. A further highlight is the overall length of the new SPATM range. This is up to 50% smaller in comparison with standard beam expanders due to the first ever use of aspherical optics.

The range of beam expanders will initially be optimized for the wavelength 780nm before further wavelengths (532nm, 1064nm) are added at the beginning of 2014. The SPATM Monolithical Beam Expander can naturally be ordered directly from stock within 24 hours via the asphericon online shop.

Experience the first prototypes at the Laser World of Photonics, allow our experts to demonstrate the functions to you live, and gain an insight into the product specification of the beam expander.

For a closer look at the asphericon product and technology world, it is also worth attending the comprehensive series of talks. Meet our experts at the EOS conference that takes place alongside the Laser World of Photonics, at the "Optical Technologies" forum and at the application panel:
