The lens boasts wide focus length from the visible to the NIR (Near Infra-Red) wavelength range. The lens was design in order to provide better accuracy and affordability to gesture recognition technology devices as well as OEMs modules which enabling the operation of laptops and other portable devices – as tablets and smartphones by simple hand gestures. This is an emergent field which got a huge boost in the last years since the introduction of the Microsoft Kinect. Today, there are several companies which are active in this field, such as the Israeli Start-up Eye-sight, and Leap motion.

The lens consists of only plastic elements and ready to mass production. The physical dimensions of the lens are very small, only less than 2.7mm length. The lens consists of a-spherical elements, boasting 1.6 focal length, F# 2.2 and 85 degree FOV.
