Product innovations a|TopShape and a|AiryShape to create a Top-Hat beam profile

Jena, August 2017: With the launch of our a|TopShape and a|AiryShape, asphericon presents a compact and modular beam shaping system based on an aspheric solution. The BeamTuning portfolio, which so far consists of various elements for beam expansion, is now extended for the application-oriented user.

The new components are capable of converting a collimated Gaussian beam profile into a collimated or focused top hat intensity distribution. The input and output beam diameters are scalable and the large-scale spectral range of 300 nm – 1600 nm allows ideal applications in the areas of measurement technology, microscopy or material processing. The beam shapers can be used not only with a collimated laser beam, but also with a fiber-coupled source.

a|TopShape and a|AiryShape offer excellent optical quality and a compact design. Thanks to a modular approach and a special assembly concept, the components are easy to connect, without further adjustment needed. This is accompanied by easy handling as well as easy integration into existing substructures or the combination with additional beam expansion components.
